Another startup project I worked on in Los Angeles in 2014 was Got2Go, or G2G. The idea was to connect people who struggled to fit everyday errands into busy city life with service assistants who could handle those tasks, through a mobile and web platform. We wanted to make it possible to organise needs such as dropping off dry cleaning, collecting groceries or taking a pet to the vet in one place.
We considered customers, service assistants and local businesses within the same model. We planned to support matching through location, availability and user ratings, while making requests, payments and delivery tracking easier. The idea of starting with a small pilot in West LA gave this broad concept a more manageable first step. For me, G2G was an early startup project in which an app idea took shape alongside its service model, the trust it needed and the everyday experience of using it.
